FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and in particular to cast iron compositions that can be used for the manufacture of molds operating at high temperatures and alternating loads. Cast iron for molds contains, wt.%: carbon 3.30-3.60, silicon 2.00-2.40, manganese 0.60-0.80, sulfur not more than 0.15, phosphorus not more than 0.15, barium 0.03-0.05, strontium 0.01-0.03, nickel 0.04-0.05, molybdenum 0.05-0.06, iron - the rest.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving performance by increasing the resistance to crack formation under the influence of thermal cyclic loads.
