FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, a power receiver receives power transmitted in a wireless way from a power transmission signal generated by a wireless power transmitter at a power transmission stage. In the power transmission signal, a repeating time frame is used at the power transmission stage, wherein the frame contains at least a time interval of power transmission and a time interval of foreign objects detection. The power receiver contains synchronizer (311), which synchronizes local time binding with the repeated time frame, and load controller (309), which turns off load (303) during at least part of time intervals of foreign object detection on at least part of the power transmission stage. Turn-off time depends on local time binding. Mode controller (313) performs switching between the first operation mode and the second operation mode during time intervals of power transmission in response to a synchronization reliability measure.
EFFECT: increase in flexibility, improvement of detection of foreign objects, communication, support of different loads, adaptability, backward compatibility, and characteristics.
