FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrolyte based on SO2 for a storage battery cell and to a storage battery cell. SO2-based electrolyte and storage battery cell (2, 20, 40) with such an electrolyte containing at least a first conducting salt of formula:

where: M is a metal selected from the group consisting of alkali metals, alkali-earth metals, metals of group 12 of the periodic table of elements and aluminium; x is integer from 1 to 3; R1, R2 are independently selected from a group consisting of a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a chemical group -OR5 and a chelate ligand formed together by at least two of substitutes R1, R2, R3, R4 and coordinated with Z; R3 is selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, a chemical group -OR5 and a chelate ligand formed together by at least two of substitutes R1, R2, R3, R4 and coordinated with Z; substitute R4 is selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group and a chelate ligand formed together by at least two of substitutes R1, R2, R3, R4 and coordinated with Z; substituent R5 is selected from the group consisting of C1-10 alkyl, C2-10 alkenyl, C2-10 alkynyl, C3-10 cycloalkyl, C6-14 aryl and C5-14 heteroaryl; Z is aluminium or boron.
EFFECT: obtained organic lithium-ion cell has very good electrical and operational characteristics, high operational reliability and service life, in particular, a large number of useful charging and discharging cycles.
