SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, in particular to the structure of the gondola car body. The side wall of the gondola car (1) contains a frame (2) consisting of a lower (3), upper (4) strapping and end (5), pivot (6), intermediate racks (7), to which a sheathing panel (8) is welded, consisting of two corrugated sheets (9), (10) overlapped at the bend of one of the sheets. The top sheet (9) contains two longitudinal corrugations (9.1) and the bottom sheet (10) contains one longitudinal corrugation (10.1). The top sheet is larger in width and less in thickness than the bottom sheet. The ratio of the distance a from the top edge (11) of the bottom sheathing sheet to the top edge (12) of the bottom trim to the distance b from the top edge (13) of the top sheathing sheet to the top edge of the bottom sheathing sheet is 0.579…0.654. The ratio of the thickness of the upper sheathing sheet to the distance c from the upper edge of the lower sheathing sheet to the nearest corrugation of the upper sheathing sheet is in the range of 0.007…0.010. The deviation of the thickness of the lower sheathing sheet to the distance d from the upper edge of the lower sheet to the corrugation is 0.011…0.014. The ratio of the distance L1 from the axis of the pivot post to the end post closest to it to the distance L2 between the pivot post and the nearest intermediate post along the axes is 0.92…0.94.

EFFECT: invention increases strength, ensures durability of the side wall with minimal use of expensive rolled metal.
