METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS WITH A NEW CORONAVIRUS INFECTION COVID-19 WITH HIGH-FLOW OXYGENATION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61M16/10 A61P11/00 A61P31/12

Abstract RU 2787175 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to resuscitation and intensive care, pulmonology, and is intended for the treatment of patients with pneumonia caused by a new coronavirus infection COVID-19. A method for treating patients with a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 with high-flow oxygenation includes inhaling nitric oxide into both nostrils of the patient during his spontaneous breathing from a distance of 8 cm with a nitric oxide concentration of 1100 ppm for 5 minutes 2-3 times a day, and alternate between the time of the treatment session according to the individual needs of inhalation of nitric oxide with high-flow oxygenation, while additionally the skin surface of the entire back of the patient in the prone position is treated with nitric oxide flows with a concentration of 1100 ppm from a distance of 8 cm for 5 minutes 2-3 times a day for 5-10 days before relief of signs of acute respiratory distress syndrome.

EFFECT: invention provides an effective and safe method for treating patients with pneumonia caused by COVID-19, of moderate and severe severity, with spontaneous breathing, who are on high-flow oxygenation, by improving respiratory function, increasing the level of blood saturation, and eliminating indications for intubation and resuscitators.
