FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and can be used for the preparation of erythrocyte diagnosticums for the detection and quantitative determination (titration) of antibodies to canine distemper virus to assess the intensity of specific immunity in dogs and other animals susceptible to canine distemper virus. A method for obtaining an antigen of canine distemper virus for the preparation of an erythrocyte diagnosticum is described. It includes infection of the cell culture with canine distemper virus, washing of the cell culture in saline solution, extraction of viral proteins from the cell culture. The method differs in that the cell culture is infected with canine distemper virus grown on a continuous Vero cell culture, the cell culture is washed in saline and the infected cells are subsequently frozen, the viral proteins are extracted from the cell culture using Gly-NaOH buffer pH 9.0.
EFFECT: expansion of the arsenal of methods for obtaining the antigen of the canine distemper virus for the preparation of an erythrocyte diagnosticum.
