FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of additives for paint and varnish materials. Method for producing a suspension based on a titanium dioxide nanocomposite on graphene flakes includes the stage of introducing a titanium dioxide nano powder, synthesised by spraying an electric arc DC discharge in plasma in an inert gas atmosphere of a composite electrode, followed by annealing in an oxygen-containing medium, into the base liquid, and exposing to ultrasonic oscillations. The base liquid constitutes a mixture of water and ethyl alcohol in a 9:1 ratio. The composite electrode constitutes a graphite rod with a mixture of graphite, titanium, and silicon powders pressed into the drilled cavity thereof.
EFFECT: possibility of imparting high antiviral activity, bactericidal activity, and self-cleaning properties to coatings based on the resulting suspension.
