FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: in conditions of elimination of the frontal muscle, loads in the form of a plate with a concave working surface, weighing 0.8-1.8 g, with a step of 0.1 g, thickness of 0.5 mm, length of 1.0-1.5 cm, are sequentially placed on the upper eyelid with a gradual increase in weight. At the same time, the contractility of the levator is determined as the maximum weight, at which a size of the palpebral fissure is not changed. The weight is continued to increase until complete closing of the palpebral fissure, and then, fatigability is determined as the minimum weight, at which a patient cannot raise the upper eyelid. A dynamometric index (hereinafter – DI) is determined as the ratio of contractility to fatigability. If DI is 0.25 or less, plastic surgery of levator aponeurosis is performed, if DI is 0.26-0.28, levator is resected, if DI is 0.29-0.65, reverse reduplication of the upper eyelid levator is performed, if DI is 0.66 or more, surgery of suspension to the eyebrow is performed.
EFFECT: invention provides obtainment of an adequate functional and cosmetic effect with reduction in the probability of hyper- or hypocorrection.
