FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of medical equipment, namely to final processing of atraumatic medical needles intended for application of surgical sutures. A method for polishing and impart of glow to medical needles consists in fixation of a needle, using a device, and immersion of the needle into an electrolyte, wherein a distance d between the device and the electrolyte is at least 5 mm, ignition of a discharge between the processed needle and the electrolyte by supply of a positive potential to the needle and a negative potential to the electrolyte, establishment of voltage between the medical needle and the electrolyte in the range of 30≤U≤600 V, discharge current of 0.1≤I≤200 A, electrolyte temperature of 20≤Τ≤90°С, processing time of 2≤t≤60 sec, electrolyte concentration of 1-10%, wherein non-toxic salts are used as electrolytes.
EFFECT: invention provides polishing and impart of glow to a needle surface, which provides a small effort, when piercing biological tissue, and increases atraumatism.
