FIELD: pharmaceutics; veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pharmaceutics and veterinary medicine, namely to a method for the treatment of mastitis in cattle, including the use of a biologically active preparation. According to the invention, a biotinylated derivative of oxidized dextran is used as the preparation, which is a conjugate obtained by a reaction of biotin hydroside and oxidized dextran with molecular weight of 40-70 kDa with formation of an azomethine bond, a solution of the biotinylated derivative of oxidized dextran, at a dose of 0.05 mg/kg, is intramuscularly injected every 72 hours, in 3 injections, in addition to the main scheme of treatment of mastitis.
EFFECT: reduction in a term of treatment of mastitis in cattle and provision of reduction in a number of somatic cells in milk.
