FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of aluminosilicate sorption materials and can be used in purification of process waters of nuclear power cycle for electric power generation, as well as in chemical and metallurgical industry when cleaning liquid radioactive wastes and waste water from long-lived cesium radionuclides. To obtain a nanostructured X-ray amorphous cesium sorbent, finely dispersed silica is mixed with an aqueous solution of lithium hydroxide LiOH. Obtained suspension is subjected to hydrothermal treatment at temperature of not less than 120 °C for 2.0–3.0 hours, ballast impurities precipitate is filtered. Solution of aluminum chloride AlCl3 is added to the purified composition, the obtained reaction mixture is held while stirring until neutral pH=7 is obtained to obtain a precipitate of the end product, which is separated by filtration, washed and dehydrated. Initial components are taken in calculated amounts providing the weight ratio Si:Al=3:1. Soluble components are used in the form of a solution in boiled distilled water.
EFFECT: invention increases sorption capacity of sorbent in relation to long-lived cesium radionuclides, higher efficiency of sorption purification of aqueous media and liquid radioactive wastes.
