DEVICE FOR BIOPSY MATERIAL SAMPLING AND PROBE FOR CRYO-BIOPSY, EQUIPPED WITH IT Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B10/02 A61B18/02

Abstract RU 2788065 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a device for biopsy material sampling and a probe for cryo-biopsy, equipped with it. The device for biopsy material sampling is intended for obtainment of biopsy material through a hole, and it has a sampling element fixed on a working tip of the probe for cryo-biopsy or near the specified working tip. The sampling element is made with the possibility of eversion on biopsy material to embrace biopsy material during retraction of the working tip through the hole to provide insulation of biopsy material from the environment during retraction through the hole. The sampling element has sections sequentially located in its longitudinal direction: a mounting section, a section for embracing biopsy material, and a connecting section connecting the section for embracing biopsy material to the mounting section. A wall thickness of the section for embracing biopsy material is less than a wall thickness of the connecting section. The probe for cryo-biopsy is equipped with the above-mentioned device for biopsy material sampling.

EFFECT: inventions are characterized by that a connecting section has an increased wall thickness compared to a section for embracing biopsy material, the connecting section is made more rigid than the other part of a sampling element, and, after eversion, kind of a mechanical protective shield prevents mechanical peeling of biopsy material during retraction of a working tip, which is especially relevant in case of probes for cryo-biopsy, as, during their use, pulling frozen biopsy material out of tissue, when sampled, leads to that biopsy material has a greater diameter than a working tip of a probe.
