FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has probe, having distal and proximal end, and flexible sleeve attached to proximal probe end. The sleeve is pumpable to enable one to move the probe in the cavity and turnable with its inside out while moving forward. The sleeve envelops the external probe surface and turns with its inside out through locking ring holding the sleeve on external probe surface. The method involves attaching flexible sleeve to proximal probe end and pumping the sleeve for moving the probe in the cavity so that the sleeve turns with its inside out. The sleeve is attached to the probe takes place due to enveloping external probe surface with sleeve and bending the sleeve over the locking ring holding the sleeve on the external probe surface. Versions of the invention differ in means for attaching sleeve to the probe.
EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications.
