FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used in assessing the degree of compliance during a dental intervention. That is ensured by detecting pathologies of dental hard tissues, periodontium tissues and hygienic state of the oral cavity. Patient's compliance with the therapeutic measures, the doctor's prescriptions and recommendations are formed. Degree of compliance is assessed by a point scale. Taking into account the past medical history, the oral cavity examination comprises the dental intervention volume and the treatment schedule with a visit schedule every 5–7 days. Volume of the forthcoming dental intervention is presented to the patient in the form of a virtual video material. Anxiety state is assessed by the Spielberg-Hanin scale. If the anxiety state is low to 30 and the patient is satisfied with the treatment plan and the forthcoming dental intervention, 2 points are assigned. If the anxiety condition is moderate from 31 to 45 and the patient is partially satisfied with the treatment plan and the forthcoming dental intervention, 1 point is assigned. If the anxiety condition is high 46 and more, and the patient is not satisfied with the treatment plan and the forthcoming dental intervention, 0 points are assigned. Further, according to the schedule of visits, if patient follows it, 2 points are assigned. If there are pauses in treatment and this does not affect the result of dental intervention, 1 point is assigned. If the patient periodically ignores the visit and this affects the result of dental surgery, 0 points are assigned. At each visit, the oral hygiene effectiveness index (PHP) is evaluated, as well as the prevalence and intensity of periodontal tissue damage – the PMA index in the Parma modification, which determine the patient's doctor's recommendations. If the PHP index is 0.1–1.6 and the PMA index in the Parma modification is less than 30 %, which indicates that the patient follows the doctor's recommendations, 2 points are assigned. If the PHP index is more than 1.6 and the PMA index is more than 30 %, which indicates a failure to follow the recommendations of the doctor, 0 points are assigned. At each visit, the Spielberg-Hanin test is used to detect situational anxiety, and if it is increased, a method of motivational interviewing is carried out: manifestations of empathy, intensified contrast of judgments, non-evocation of patient's resistance to dental surgeries, support of positive self-esteem, training individual hygiene skills and selecting the agents for the technique and repeated demonstration of the video materials with the sequence of the forthcoming dental interventions to form a positive motivation for the dental intervention. If sustaining motivation is maintained throughout the treatment, 2 points are assigned. In case of unstable motivation characterized by long interruptions in treatment, but observance of recommendations, 1 point is assigned. If the motivation to the dental intervention is negative, 0 points are assigned. If the doctor is satisfied with the patient's entire treatment throughout the treatment, 2 points are assigned. If there were difficulties in communication with the patient, but this did not affect the quality of treatment, 1 point is assigned. If there was no contact with the patient, 0 points are assigned. That is followed by calculating the total score and its value from 0 to 4 inclusive assessing the compliance degree to the dental intervention as low. If the total score is 5 to 7 inclusive, the degree of dental adjunctive compliance is considered to be moderate. If observing 8 and more points, the degree of dental compliance is considered to be high.
EFFECT: method enables high reliability of assessing the degree of compliance during dental intervention.
