FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and production of composite materials and castings. A method for the production of carbon-graphite composite material by impregnation with an aluminum-based alloy includes vacuum degasification of a porous carbon-graphite workpiece in a melt of an aluminum alloy with addition of zinc in a separate container installed on a vibration table to provide vibration vacuumizing of the workpiece, placement of the workpiece on a crystallized surface of the aluminum alloy with addition of magnesium and copper, preliminary poured to an impregnation device, filling of the impregnation device with the previously obtained melt of the aluminum alloy with addition of zinc, and impregnation of the workpiece at a temperature of 850°C, while the resulting matrix alloy for impregnation of a carbon-graphite frame has the following composition, wt.%: zinc 10.0-22.0, magnesium 8.3-22.0, copper 0.5-6.0, aluminum is the rest.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at an increase in the strength of composite material due to improvement of impregnation of a carbon-graphite frame.
