SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to an aerosol generating device and an aerosol generating system. The aerosol generating device comprises an air inlet, an air outlet, an air flow channel extending between the air inlet and the air outlet, a heating element for heating the aerosol-forming substrate, a sensor assembly communicating with the flow channel air, and a controller connected to the sensor assembly and configured to control the power supply to the heating element. The sensor unit is configured to measure one or both of the flow rate and the pressure level in the air flow channel. The amount of power supplied to the heating element depends on at least one of: a flow rate and a pressure level measured by the sensor assembly; the length of time between the start of a given puff and the end of the puff immediately preceding said given puff; and the number of this puff.

EFFECT: invention provides the ability to regulate the delivery of aerosol, taking into account the latest experience in the use of the device.
