FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for determining the effectiveness of treating walking and balance disorders in a patient with gait disturbance. 15 indicators of walking and balance are tested in the patient. Tests are carried out before the beginning of treatment and at least once during and/or after treatment. Following parameters are measured: possibility of independent taking of vertical position by patient from horizontal position; walking distance in a straight line; presence or absence of support when walking in a straight line in closed and open spaces; time of walking in a straight line; average stride length when walking in a straight line; possibility of walking on stairs; distance and time of walking on stairs; distance and walking time with turns through 180°; average number of steps from one leg to another during turns by 180°; possibility of running; average angle of body inclination when walking; mean angle of deviation of the axis of the hip sideways from the vertical axis.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of determining clinical effectiveness in patients with gait disorder and coordination of various aetiologies.
