FIELD: video technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for encoding video. Video data are received having the size of a unit of the encoding tree. In the sequence parameter set or in the slide header, two or more flags are transmitted, corresponding to the size of the encoding tree unit. In this case, the transmission of two or more flags corresponding to the size of the encoding tree unit contains the transmission of the first flag of two or more flags, and the first flag corresponds to the first size of the encoding tree unit. When the first flag is equal to 1, video data is encoded based on the first unit size of the encoding tree without transmitting a second flag of two or more flags. When the first flag is 0, the second flag is transmitted from two or more flags and video data is encoded based on the transmitted second flag.
EFFECT: increase in coding efficiency.
