FIELD: manufacture of heterogeneous catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of heterogeneous catalysts for the oxidation of ammonia and hydrocarbon-containing gases and can be used in the production of nitric acid. The method for manufacturing the catalyst, which is a precision alloy gauze as a carrier with a platinum coating, consists in the fact that the coating is obtained by electrochemical deposition of platinum from an electrolyte. In this case, the electrolyte contains a solution of platinum salts, which is used as any of the three solutions. The first solution is 2-10 g/l of dinitrodiamminplatin (II), 50-100 g/l of aminosulfonic acid, and electrochemical deposition of platinum from this electrolyte is carried out at a temperature of 65-100°C, a cathode current density of 2.1-10.7 A/dm2 and pH of 1-2. The second solution is 2-10 g/l of dinitrodiamminplatin (II), 100 g/l of ammonium nitrate, 10 g/l of sodium nitrite, 50 g/l of ammonia, and electrochemical deposition of platinum from this electrolyte is carried out at a temperature of 70-100°C, cathode current density of 6-12 A/cm2, pH of 8-10. The third solution of platinum salts is 10-15 g/l of hydrogen hexahydroxoplatinate (IV), 5-7 g/l of monoethanolamine, and electrochemical deposition of platinum from this electrolyte is carried out at a temperature of 60-100°C, cathode current density of 0.8-1.2 A/dm2 and pH of 8-10.
EFFECT: invention obtains a catalyst having a continuous uniform coating of platinum with good adhesion applied by electrochemical method.
