FIELD: drink preparing devices.
SUBSTANCE: device (1) for preparing a drink (110) from the ingredient (102) has an extraction unit (2) with: a seat (20) for extracting the ingredient; an input mechanism (21) for directing water into the seat (20); and a dispensing mechanism (22) for directing the beverage (110) from the seat (20). The dispensing mechanism (22) has a surface (220) delimiting the downstream part of the seat (20). The surface (220) is formed by an upper part (220a) and a lower part (220b) separated by a substantially horizontal physical or notional dividing line (220c) that extends between the upper end and the lower end of the surface (220). The upper part (220a) is formed by the upper outflow channel (222a) and the upper impermeable part separating the upper outflow channel. For the upper part (220a), the ratio of the upper surface area intersecting the downward flow direction (200) in the seat (20) is determined: the surface area of the upper outflow channel (222a) to the surface area of the upper impermeable part. The lower part (220b) is formed by the lower outflow channel (222b) and the lower impermeable part separating the lower outflow channel. For the lower part (220b), the ratio of the lower surface area crossing the downward flow direction (200) is determined: the surface area of the lower outflow channel (222b) to the surface area of the lower impermeable part. The (220) surface is characterized by an overall ratio of the area of the top surface to the ratio of the area of the bottom surface that is greater than or less than 1.
EFFECT: design of the claimed device allows the formation of a directed flow path in the extraction process, that is, one that allows you to obtain, or enhance or weaken certain extraction effects.
