FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for detection of forthcoming or already realized condensation on/in electric engines, in particular on/in electric engines as part of fans or groups of fans, and method for prevention of formation of condensate and/or reduction in condensate on/in electric engines, in particular on/in electric engines as part of fans or groups of fans, are claimed. The detection method includes following stages: determination of temperatures of structural elements, preferably surface temperatures on electronics, on/in an engine, on/in a fan, or on/in groups of fans. Next, a dewpoint temperature or separate dewpoint temperatures on electronics, in/on the engine, fan, or on/in groups of fans are determined. Then, the corresponding temperature of the structural element is compared with the corresponding dewpoint temperature, and a conclusion is made on already realized or forthcoming formation of condensate, when the temperature of the structural element is close to the dewpoint temperature or when the temperature is lower than the dewpoint. The prevention method includes following stages: detection of forthcoming and/or already realized formation of condensate on or in the engine and taking action for prevention of formation of condensate and/or for elimination/for reduction in condensate, using passive or active measures.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of operation by prevention or elimination of formation of condensate on/in electric engines.
