FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of heat engineering; it can be used in countercurrent cooling columns for cooling of hot technological water. A modular countercurrent cooling column having a single inlet/single outlet includes two heat-transferring sections installed above two sections of cold water tanks and under three fan sections, wherein each heat-transferring section has its own water-distributing system and a drain to its own separate section of the cold water tank. The water-distributing system can provide a flow through both heat-transferring sections or only through one section. The central fan support section supports a mechanical drive system for a fan and has a sealing plate in its lower part for sealing a gap between two heat-transferring sections.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of delivery and mounting of elements of a modular cooling column, as well as provision of efficiency and heat removal during repairment of a damaged section.
