SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas compressor systems and to compressor operation methods. The compressor system (1) comprises the main compressor (100), a pipeline system (110) containing the process gas being withdrawn after the main compressor (100) is shut down, and one or more components (125) that emit or through which process gas flows under reduced pressure during operation or start-up of the compressor (100); the compressor system (1) additionally contains one or more collectors (126) designed to collect process gas under reduced pressure emitted from these components (125), and an additional compressor (150) connected via fluid to the pipeline system (110) and to collectors (126) for compressing the process gas under reduced pressure coming from the components (125) during start-up or operation of the compressor, and to compress the process gas coming from the system (110) of pipelines after stopping the compressor (1).
EFFECT: expansion of the range of compressor systems.
