FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to creation of electrodes for electrochemical process with catalytic coating, containing stannic oxide. Method of electrode receiving includes application of antecedent solution for pyrolitic formation of tin-bearing coating on the basis made of valve metal with following implementation of thermal treatment, where antecedent solution contains compound of tin hydroxychloride, executed from nonstoichiometric compound, expressed by formula Sn(OH)2+xCl2-x·nH2O, and compound, expressed by formula SnO(H2O)nR2-xClx, where R corresponds acetic acid group (CH3COO-).
EFFECT: high yield and improved reproducibility.
