FIELD: image processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for generation of a panoramic image of a three-dimensional object. In the claimed solution, a visual reference frame is generated with borders, within which a three-dimensional object should be located; an image of a surrounding area around the three-dimensional object is captured; in response to detection of part of the three-dimensional object, a border frame is generated, embracing the three-dimensional object; an overlapping parameter between the border frame and the visual reference frame is determined; the overlapping parameter is compared with a set of threshold values; in response to the overlapping parameters exceeding the specified threshold values, sets of indications for adjustment of a position of a camera for capture of part of the three-dimensional object within the visual reference frame for image correction are generated; the corrected image is stored.

EFFECT: improvement of the quality of the resulting panoramic image of this three-dimensional image.
