SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for generating a trajectory for a self-driving car (SDC). Disclosed is a method for generating a trajectory for a self-driving car, wherein the SDC is associated with an electronic device. The method is carried out by means of an electronic device, wherein the method includes the steps of determining, by means of an electronic device, the presence of at least one foreign object around the SDC, determining, by means of an electronic device, the current location of a third-party object, forming, by means of an electronic device, a set of predicted trajectories for a third-party object based on the current location of the third-party object, wherein at least one of the set of trajectories includes a maneuver performed by the third-party object in the future location of the third-party object as part of the execution of at least one of the set of trajectories, at least for one of a set of trajectories, including a maneuver performed at a future location of the foreign object, a corresponding braking profile associated with the foreign object. The deceleration profile indicates a maneuver for adjusting the speed of the off-site object to allow the off-site object to maneuver at the future location of the off-site object, in response to the corresponding deceleration profile being above a predetermined threshold value. After that an associated one of at least one of the plurality of trajectories is excluded from future processing. Then an electronic device determines the SDC trajectory based on the remaining of the set of predicted trajectories for the foreign object.
