FIELD: broadband spectroscopy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of broadband terahertz spectroscopy and concerns a complex for magnetically controlled amplitude-frequency modulation of terahertz radiation. The complex includes a cuvette with a magnetic fluid and a device for creating a uniform magnetic field, variable in magnitude. The cuvette is made of plastic optically transparent for terahertz radiation and is filled with a suspension of magnetic particles from an alloy with high magnetic permeability in automotive engine oil. The device for creating a uniform magnetic field consists of two electromagnets in the form of Helmholtz coils with cores made of a material with high magnetic permeability. The cuvette is placed between the electromagnets to obtain a strong and uniform magnetic field inside it, the magnitude of which can change when the voltage applied to the electromagnets changes.

EFFECT: reducing the complexity of manufacturing and simplifying the control of the amplitude-frequency characteristics of terahertz radiation.
