FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and concerns a measuring gas cell for absorption terahertz spectroscopy of gas samples. Measuring cell consists of a sealed container with two transparent windows located on the path of the terahertz radiation beam. In addition, outside the measuring cell on the path of the terahertz radiation beam there is an additional window made of optically transparent material, which during measurement is moved in the direction coinciding with the direction of propagation of the terahertz radiation beam at a distance of not less than 0.5 of the wavelength of the terahertz radiation. In the process of moving the additional window, the maximum transmission coefficient of the measuring gas cell with the analysed gas sample at a given wavelength is found and this value is used to find the absorption coefficient of the sample at a given wavelength.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of suppressing Fabry-Perot effects in a measuring gas cell and improving measurement accuracy.
