FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: methods for low-temperature treatment of a multicomponent medium used in the process of preparing natural gas for use in the oil and gas industry. The device for separating a multicomponent medium comprises a nozzle channel with confuser, diffuser sections and a critical section and a flow swirling device made in the form of a shaped body of revolution, the ends of which are connected to the bases of the inlet and outlet cones. Blades with channels between them are placed on the surface of the body of revolution. The swirling device is connected to an electric generator. The device also comprises a hollow cone mounted to form an annular cavity. The flow swirling device is placed on the shaft and together with it forms a rotor connected to the electric generator. The diffuser section of the nozzle channel is made of two shaped parts having different opening angles, with a transition from a smaller angle of opening to a larger angle and with formation of an internal profile break at the transition point. The flow swirling device and the hollow cone are sequentially installed at the outlet of the part with a large opening angle, and a confuser-diffuser transition is made inside the hollow cone. The rotor comprises a current collector. Shaped channels are made in the cross section of the rotor, in which electric heating elements are installed, connected to a current collector, which is connected to an electric generator and/or an external source of electricity.

EFFECT: exclusion of ice formation in the gas stream and on the walls of the flow path and the reduction of the possibility of the hydrate formation process.
