FIELD: spacecraft flexible structures design and control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spacecraft flexible structures design and control. A flexible structure spoke, such as reflector spoke, is designed as a telescopic tube consisting of a root link hinged to the spacecraft body and a nested end link. The spoke can be reliably deployed with a reduced transport volume by using an engine for the rotary component and the resulting centrifugal force to extend the end link. The centrifugal force displacement reduces the weight of the entire spoke, as there is no need to install an actuator on the displacement link. A control structure parameters correction algorithm allows to ensure the prcise compliance with the terminal conditions while minimizing the spoke oscillations.
EFFECT: invention provides for simplifying the spoke design while maintaining the weight and dimensions of the flexible structure, and to reduce the spacecraft transport volume.
