FIELD: electrical communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric power supply of alternating current railways. Method of controlling a static reactive power generator (SRPG) of a sectioning station (SS) consists in the fact that stabilized voltage is maintained at the SS, at that, connecting the intermediate voltage transformer, which is connected to the contacts of the SRPG mode switching relay, connecting the current relay of the supply line of the contact network, connecting the current relay of the SRPG to the current transformer of the SRPG, time relay is also connected. At the same time lower stabilization voltage of SS is set equal to voltage of traction substations, setting of switching currents is determined by SRPG generation current ISRPG.alt and by traction load current Iantihunt.alt. In this case, if ISRPG≥ISRPG.alt, the current relay of the SRPG is actuated, or if Iantihunt≥Iantihunt.alt, the current relay of the supply line of the contact network is actuated, then the time relay is actuated, contact of which switches on the SRPG mode switching relay, which switches the operation mode of the SRPG to the increased mode of stabilized voltage. And at ISRPG≤(ISRPG.alt−100) A or at Iantihunt≤(Iantihunt.alt−50) A, the SRPG is switched back to reduced mode of stabilized voltage.
EFFECT: reduction of power losses in traction network with SRPG.
