SUBSTANCE: traction power supply systems for railways. The control device of the combined installation of transverse capacitive compensation (CITCC), connected to the bus of the sectioning post of the AC traction network through a switch, with an adjustable static reactive power generator (SRPG) connected in parallel and an non-regulated filter-compensating unit of transverse capacitive compensation (FCU) with a series-connected reactor and transformer current. At the same time, a block of resonant filters of the third harmonic is inserted into the secondary circuit of the current transformers to determine the current value of the third harmonic of the traction current in FCU. The device consists of the first calculation unit for determining the average value of the third harmonic current for N measurements in the secondary circuit of the FCU current transformer, the second calculation unit for determining the average value of the first harmonic of the traction load of the intersubstation zone for N measurements and the comparison unit for determining the mode of CITCC operation with “yes” and “no” outputs, connected to the control unit of SRPG of the combined CITCC.

EFFECT: controlling the combined unit of transverse capacitive compensation according to the data measured at the sectioning post.
