SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The hydraulic shock absorber contains a cylinder with a rod and a piston with bypass devices connecting the over-piston and under-piston liquid cavities, having different hydraulic resistances to forward and reverse flow and not having moving contacting parts. Bypass devices are made in the form of chokes having the shape of a truncated cone.
EFFECT: increase of temperature, frequency ranges of shock absorber operation and manufacturability of its manufacture.
