FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for damping vibrations of vehicle suspensions. The shock absorber contains a cylinder, rod with a piston and a compensation chamber. The throttle and the safety valves of the compression and rebound motion are installed in the piston. A plunger is fixed in the lower part of the cylinder, hermetically mounted in the axial hole of the piston; it forms an annular channel in the blind axial hole of the rod. The channel is connected to the over-piston cavity through the radial holes in the lower part of the rod and to the under-piston cavity through the upper check valve, axial channel inside the plunger, lower check valve and radial holes in the lower part of the plunger. In the middle part of the plunger, radial holes are made connected to the axial channel. The middle part of the axial hole of the piston hermetically interacts with the plunger. The upper and lower ends of the axial hole of the piston are made in the form of truncated cones, forming the upper and lower annular conical slots with the plunger. The maximum area of the cross-section of annular conical slots opposite the upper and lower ends of the piston is higher or equal to the throttle area.
EFFECT: technical result is increasing damping properties of the shock absorber and smooth motion of vehicles on almost any type of road.
