SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to methods for one-way wave determination of the fault location of a power line. estimating the amplitudes of the measured waves in the controlled signal, and if the polarity of the front of the first measured wave coincides with the sign of the auxiliary signal at the time of the fault, then the first measured wave is taken as the starting wave, otherwise, the next measured wave, whose amplitude exceeds the amplitude of the first measured waves.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and reliability of one-way wave fault location on a power line with a short alternate connection.
