FIELD: oil and gas.
SUBSTANCE: in a cell filled with proppant, the thermobaric conditions of a fracture are simulated and several cycles of pumping through the fluid cell that imitates formation fluid in its composition are carried out. At each cycle, proppant is collected by means of a proppant collection device containing a digital video recording system, which is a digital IP video camera mounted on a tripod equipped with a motor and a proppant catcher consisting of a cylindrical container, a transparent measuring cylinder and a removable cup for collecting proppant. Video recording of the proppant collection process is carried out by a digital IP video camera, which fixes the position of the proppant-liquid interface in the measuring cylinder and transmits the information to the computer. The computer sends a control signal to the tripod motor and the tripod motor moves the IP video camera following the movement of the proppant-liquid interface. The end of proppant removal is judged by no movement of the proppant-liquid interface. The amount of carried out proppant is determined by calculating the volume occupied by the proppant in the measuring cylinder.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of reliable determination of proppant removal.
