FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and creation of new materials for biomedical purposes, which can be used in creation of polyphase composites based on Mg-hydroxyapatite and a polymer matrix, when filling bone defects in traumatology and orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery and surgical dentistry. The proposed method for the production of Mg-hydroxyapatite-chitosan granules consists in that powder of Mg-hydroxyapatite is mixed with 2 wt.% chitosan solution in 0.5% acetic acid, at the ratio: 10.5 ml of the chitosan solution per 1 gram of Mg-hydroxyapatite until homogenous mass. Then, the resulting mixture is dispersed through a capillary with a diameter of 1.5-2.5 mm in 5% NaOH solution, at a temperature T1=20-26°C. The resulting granules are decanted from an alkaline solution and dried at a temperature Т2=27-28°C in air for at least 6 hours.
EFFECT: development of a method for the production of hydroxyapatite having greater resorption and osteoconductivity over time.
