FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and creation of new biomedical materials usable in creation of materials for orthopedics and traumatology. Proposed is a composite material for filling bone defects, containing a mixture of calcium phosphates, contained in the total mass whereof are: hydroxylapatite (HA) - 20%, brushite - 30%, octacalcium phosphate (OCP) - 50%, and additionally containing an alginate-chitosan polyelectrolyte complex (PEC), at the following ratio of components, wt.%: PEC 30÷50, the mixture of calcium phosphates 70÷50. PEC constitutes a mixture of 1:1 to 2% aqueous suspension of sodium alginate and 2% solution of chitosan in 0.5% acetic acid.
EFFECT: creation of a biocompatible composite material based on a mixture of calcium phosphates in the volume of an alginate-chitosan matrix.
