FIELD: radiation therapy.
SUBSTANCE: device for monitoring the parameters of the proton beam in the process of proton therapy contains a pad chamber, a control and deviation detection unit associated with it, equipped with integrating electrodes located in front of the pad chamber, the active plane of which is divided into cells, and also connected in series with an electronic analyser, each of the inputs of which are connected to the output of the corresponding integrating electrode, an analog multiplexer, each of the corresponding inputs of which is connected to the output of the corresponding cell, and a readout electronics unit, the output of which is connected to the input of the control and deviation detection unit. The active plane of each of the integrating electrodes coincides in geometrical dimensions and location with the corresponding cell of the active plane of the pad chamber and is located close to it.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of monitoring the parameters of the proton beam, a simplification of the design, and an increased reliability of the device.
