SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises a terminal containing a circuit which, during operation, generates a first random access preamble; and a transmitter that, during operation, transmits the first random access preamble to the base station in the first event (RO) of the physical random access channel (PRACH) among the plurality of candidate ROs, the plurality of candidate ROs being determined based on the PRACH configuration information received from the base station. The first RO is assigned in the first frequency section, where the first frequency section is equal to the first sub-band in which the listen procedure is performed before transmitting (LBT) at the terminal.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the reliability of establishing a random access procedure.
