SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to wireless communication. The target device operating in the unlicensed spectrum determines the number of target information elements included in each time domain block within the target channel occupation time (COT). The target COT is the first COT immediately before the target device initiates channel detection. The target device determines the reference block of the time domain in the unlicensed spectrum based on the number of elements of the target information.
EFFECT: providing the ability to adjust the size of the competition window (CW, Contention Window Size), which improves the operation of the new radio system using an unlicensed frequency range (NR-U, New Radio-Unlicensed).
