FIELD: medicine; surgery; traumatology; combustiology.
SUBSTANCE: first layer of vacuum dressing – foam rubber with a drainage pipe is applied. Wound edges are brought together, using calibrated spring elements with a set tension force of 20 N. The second foam rubber layer with a thickness of 1-2 cm, with a drainage pipe, is applied above calibrated spring elements. Incisive film is glued above the second foam rubber layer for sealing the entire structure. Drainage pipes are connected to a vacuum system with under-pressure of 125 mm Hg. Replacement of the vacuum dressing and correction of dosed tissue distraction are carried out once every 3-4 days.
EFFECT: method provides optimally quick and safe convergence of wound edges, wherein a force, using which a distraction process is performed in this method, is evenly distributed on each section of wound edges; simplicity of installation of a structure allows for its use in almost all anatomical areas, saving patient’s activity and great rehabilitation potential; reduction in treatment terms with the minimal risk of ischemia of soft-tissue flaps.
