FIELD: medicine; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for treatment of late radiation damage to pelvic organs. The method includes the introduction of mesenchymal stromal stem cells at the rate of 120–140 million in 200 ml of saline on the 1st and 8th days of hospitalization intravenously drip for 40 minutes against the background of premedication with 8 mg of dexamethasone. The course is repeated every 3 months for one year.
EFFECT: reduction of the inflammatory background, improvement of tissue regeneration at the site of radiation damage, reduction of the overall rehabilitation time, shortening of the hospital stay, and improvement of the quality of life of patients.
