FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, coloproctology and can be used for treating radiation injuries of pelvic organs. Argon plasma coagulation and chemical coagulation are performed step-by-step using 2.5% aqueous formalin solution according to the following scheme. In 2–3 months after the first course of systemic conservative treatment, argon plasma coagulation of blood vessels of rectal mucosa is performed. Chemical coagulation of rectal mucosa is performed 2–4 months after argon plasma coagulation.

EFFECT: method provides stable haemostasis, creates conditions for tissue regeneration in the area of radiation injuries, reduces overall length of rehabilitation, length of each hospitalization to 3 bed-days; reduces the total number of hospitalizations of each patient for inpatient treatment of the given pathology up to 2–3 times, provides the possibility of treatment in a day hospital or outpatient treatment; improves quality of life and social adaptation.
