FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for bionic prosthetics and use as artificial muscles and allows to increase the efficiency and service life of a linear actuator by reducing the friction force of the threads in the flexible rod during twisting and protecting it from dust. The linear actuator contains a control module and a connecting element being a flexible rod in the form of twisted threads fixed with its one end to the shaft of the electric motor connected to the control module, and rigidly attached to the hand simulator with its other end.
EFFECT: threads of the flexible rod are treated with lubricant to reduce the force of mutual friction of the threads against each other during twisting and are placed in an elastic, for example, latex, tube, which isolates them from environmental dust and prevents splashing of lubricant from the surface of the twisted threads during operation, the threads of the flexible rod are made of polyethylene.
