FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for receiving and transmitting electromagnetic waves, in particular, in communication systems, radar and other radio engineering systems. The result is achieved by the proposed scanning antenna, which includes a passive part containing a modulated impedance metasurface, at least one feeder that excites a traveling surface wave, a conductive screen, characterized in that the antenna additionally includes an active part located under the conductive screen and made with the possibility of creating a control magnetic field, and the passive part of the antenna contains a material with variable magnetic permeability.
EFFECT: simplification of the design of the scanning antenna and improvement of the galvanic isolation between the control circuits and the microwave signal.
