SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic shutdown device (10). The electronic shutdown device comprises the first input terminal (12), the second input terminal (14), the first output terminal (16), the second output terminal (18), a controlled switch (22) installed between the first input terminal (12) and the first output terminal (16), and a control circuit (20), made with the ability to issue a command signal (S) intended for a controlled switch (22). The shutdown device (10) additionally contains a circuit (30) for measuring the electrical quantity consumed through a controlled switch (22) and a circuit (24) with a finite impedance located between the first output terminal (16) and the second output terminal (18). The control circuit (20) is designed to issue a command signal (S) opening of the controlled switch (22) and with the ability to track the measured electrical value (M) when this command signal (S) of opening is issued. The invention also relates to a method for detecting a defect in an electronic shutdown device.
EFFECT: possibility of detecting a defect of sticking of contacts in the shutdown device.
