FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: treatment of steel with inert gases in order to homogenize and refine from non-metallic inclusions and dissolved gases. The section for processing liquid metal with gases contains elements (6) made of refractory material, interconnected by mounting or packaging tape (8) made of organic material. Film (7) is placed between the elements of section (4) over the entire area of their contact, forming capillaries between the said elements when the section is heated.
EFFECT: ensuring the strength of the lining of the ladle for pouring steel while increasing the efficiency of gas supply to liquid metal by increasing the area of capillaries and preventing clogging of capillaries during the manufacture of the section.
