FIELD: poultry farming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of poultry farming, in particular to the breeding of poultry. The method for assessing the egg production of chickens includes keeping the birds in individual cages from the age of 120 days and conducting daily observations of the laying of eggs. Starting from the age of 150 days and within 30 days, the number of eggs per cycle and the number of egg production cycles are taken into account. At the same time, the bird, in which for the specified period the number of eggs per cycle is 14 or more, and the egg-laying cycles are less than 3, are classified as laying hens with high egg productivity, the rest of the bird is classified as laying hens with medium and low productivity.
EFFECT: reduction in the time of evaluation and selection of hens for egg productivity.
