FIELD: metal forming.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain thin-walled complex profile shells from a titanium alloy. The device contains a matrix and a container made of two parts. There are holes in the container wall for simultaneous evacuation of the cavity of the container and the cavity of the tubular billet with flanges. To do this, the clamping covers are installed with radial clearances between their flanges and the workpiece flanges. After evacuation, the cavity of the tubular billet is hermetically sealed with pressure caps using a hydraulic rod. In the wall of the container there is a channel for supplying an inert gaseous medium under high pressure to the channel of one of the clamping covers. The wall thickness of the pipe billet and its outer profile are preliminarily determined by measurement and calculation. The workpiece is made by machining from a thick-walled pipe.

EFFECT: reliable operation of the device is ensured for manufacturing of complex profile shells with flanges.
